Early in his career, right out of Syracuse’s Newhouse School, Jon thought he was destined to be a star copywriter. It was 1982 while working in print traffic on the ESPN account, when he penned the line, “Tune in tonight to see the Celtics take on the Detroit Pistons. 7pm Eastern, 6pm Central, 5pm Mountain, 4pm Pacific.” The creative director said he might be better dealing with people than words. So off he went to marketing and account planning.

Today, Jon is our resident expert on all things smart, including “new media.” He has a unique ability to apply abstract theories into actual buying practices. He brings vast experience, an oversized brain and a unique approach to planning. That’s why our planning and media departments are so closely aligned. And now Jon saves his creative writing for our blog, on which he’s a regular contributor. Turns out, it’s better that way for us (and our clients).
